How is spousal support terminated by operation of law? E-mail

Spousal support and alimony is terminated when (1) the spouse or party that is providing the support dies, or (2) either spouse remarries. The latter, also known as cohabitation, is optional as it can be settled by couples whether it can terminate the spousal support or not.
