Fergie's Claims on Divorce Settlement Debunked E-mail

Sarah Ferguson has been under fire recently for being caught selling access to her former husband, Prince Andrew, for 500,000 pounds. She had claimed that the divorce settlement has left her cash-strapped, but that it shouldn't be an excuse for what she did.

The Duchess of York was caught on video selling access to her husband and saying that the divorce settlement was "zero" by an undercover reporter for a tabloid. However, sources are now pegging the divorce settlement in 1996 to be somewhere around 3 million pounds.

The divorce settlement allegedly included money to buy a new house for her and the children, $1.4 million pounds for a trust fund for the children, a lump sum which can be used however the duchess wanted, and a modest monthly allowance based on the Duke of York's salary as a Royal Navy officer at that time.

"The Duchess's claims are quite extraordinary," said a senior courtier in an interview to the Telegraph, "She was treated extremely generously and she has now behaved appallingly."
